1967 Austin-Healey BJ8 For Sale


1967 Austin-Healey BJ8: Last year Austin-Healey 3000 owned 45yr with 62500 miles. Never detected any rust. (how much is no rust worth to you?) Mostly original car but some parts replaced. Solid car w/repainted as original color: Healey blue, new wire wheels from Dayton with Vredestein tires from Coker in Chattanooga. New blue top, carbs rebuilt a few years back, most of interior original and good condition, windshield replaced. Engine & bay clean, new stainless steel exhaust, re-chromed bumpers.  Never EVER stored outside.
In the past 9 years:
Engine was pulled - pistons and valves checked - all good
- all oil and water ports were cleaned
- timing belt checked
Clutch was inspected, had some wear but did not need replacement
No work needed to transmission
Electrical was converted from positive to negative ground.

Radio is original AM, but is not working.
All new tires and tubes and wheel liners including the spare (Coker)
In the past 7 years:
Complete restoration of entire brake system, all new brake lines,
wheel cylinders, Master cylinder, and Hydraulic reservoir
Complete restoration of fuel system, new fuel tank, fuel sensor, fuel lines,
and solid state fuel pump (retains original sound)
Carburetors were previously rebuilt and only tuned at this stage.
New windshield and gaskets
New convertible top and all steel top frame cleaned and repaint
In the past 3 years:
At Minor Classics in Cleveland, TN:
Complete restoration on ignition system, new solid state distributor,
new coil, new plugs and plug wires
New brake servo
Restoration of Overdrive solenoids
Car is solid and strong, runs, drives and looks good. Now is the time to determine if you are ever going to buy a big Healey. This is the one!  This one can be driven everyday.
