1954 Austin Healey 100-4
1954 Austin Healey 100-4. Excellent condition. Show ready, turnkey. Concours level restoration completed approx. 10 years ago by a local Healey guru.
All original metal, no patch panels or bondo. No collision damage. Matching numbers car. Smooth shifting original 3 speed manual with working overdrive. Original 2.7 litre four cylinder, runs like new. All electrics and gauges work. No suspension issues, car runs and stops straight and true.
Underside - you can eat off of it, it is clean and in the correct body/factory color. No tar or rattle can black paint here. No spray on black body shutz either.
Top and side curtains are in like new condition, I have never used them. Tonneau cover in excellent shape. I usually only take the car out on nice days and use the tonneau to cover the interior when the car is parked or if needed.
History I know of the car is that it started its life in the SW US and was purchased and brought up north by the previous owner, a local Healey guru, in 1990. I have a folder an inch and a half thick full of records and receipts from 1990 onward. Original workshop manuals go with car as well. I have owned the car for the last five to six years, and it has spent time in PA and also out in AZ with me as my snowbird show car during the winter months. Work that I completed on the car when I acquired it was basic tune up, carb rebuilding and adjustments, oil changes every year, new electronic ignition, etc.. , all the basics to make it roadworthy since it was sitting for a while. New parts that were necessary when the car was in AZ were an aluminum radiator and new, larger cooling fan. It does get a bit warmer out there. All original parts were kept and in working order. The original starter was slowly dying, so a new reduced gear starter was installed. Original starter was kept if one wants to rebuild it. All of these changes are easily reversible to get back to 100% originality if one desires, and can be installed by any average mechanic in a day's work. Clutch was replaced in 2022. Brakes just inspected and serviced, and oil and fluids changed in prep for sale.
Reason for selling? I have owned the car for five years, probably only put about 500 or so odd miles on it driving to local shows and on tours, and it is time for something else to rotate into my collection. Personal inspections welcome. Facetime available. Many more pics available.
Cold start and driving video are available, contact me for the link, or any questions. Payment by bank wire only. Deposit accepted via Paypal. Buyer responsible for shipping. I can recommend shippers that I have used in the past.
