1960 Austin Healey 3000 MK 1 BT7. It's a solid, driver level car. Rust is a non-issue, and the chassis is solid front to back. The paint has some wear (a couple small dents, a bubble in the driver's door near the bottom, etc), but it's glossy and shows very well for its age. Electrics work, the engine starts and runs, no trouble with the ignition or carburetors, and all fluids have been changed within the past 6 months. Tires (new Vredestein Sprint Classics) are from 2024. This is a car you can get in and drive home. Basically, it's a well-done restoration that was just done a while ago and has now aged; but you won't need to source new panels or interior pieces because they're there and they're in good shape.
The front bumper and apron are not mounted but included in the sale. They were removed for storage, and can be bolted back in place prior to pickup.
Needs: The gearbox grinds when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, but is quiet outside of that (shifting up through all gears is fine). Could be a weak synchro, or it could be the clutch. Either or both can be worked into the Midwest Motoring schedule before you pick up and drive home. The top has seen better days, but the parts are all present. Good tonneau included with the car, as are the side curtains. Other than that, everything works. It's a solid, honest car, and you can start your Healey adventure with a car that isn't falling to pieces. Jump on this one before it disappears!
Asking $35,000.
